Do we need a drug and alcohol policy before booking a K9 search?
In most cases, yes. A written policy gives the detection program a legal foundation and sets expectations for employees. We can advise on what a policy should cover before the first search takes place.
How long does a typical workplace search take?
Most offices or small industrial sites take 30–60 minutes. Larger facilities such as remote work camps are typically completed in a half-day. We work around your operational schedule to minimize disruption.
Can a K9 detection result be used in a disciplinary or legal proceeding?
Yes. Our handlers are trained in proper documentation procedures. Because of our law enforcement background, our reports are structured to be legally defensible. We have provided documentation and testimony in proceedings in Alberta and British Columbia.
What provinces do you serve?
We operate primarily across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Our teams travel to remote industrial sites, including oilsands camps and construction projects. Nationwide travel is available on request.
